A visa form contains sensitive personal data, so FormSathi is built to keep as little of it as possible. This policy explains what happens to your information.
Your answers stay in your browser
Your conversation and answers are saved only in your own browser's storage, so you can come back and finish later. We do not keep a database of applicants. Use "Start over" in the app, or clear your browser's site data, to delete them.
What passes through our servers
- Chat: your messages and answers are sent to our server and on to an AI model run through Hugging Face's inference service, to generate the assistant's replies. They are processed under Hugging Face's and the model host's terms.
- Passport photo (optional): if you use "Scan passport", the photo is sent to an AI model run through Hugging Face's inference service to read the printed details, which are shown to you to confirm. We do not store the photo.
- Preview and download: your answers are sent to our server to create the PDF, which is returned to you and not stored.
- Payment: Razorpay processes your payment; we never see your card, UPI or bank details. To link a payment to one applicant we store with the order two one-way, keyed codes derived from your passport number and your name and date of birth. They cannot be turned back into your details.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider records standard request logs (such as IP address and time) for security; we do not log your answers.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Razorpay's checkout may set its own cookies to process payments.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask about, correct or erase personal data we hold, and raise a grievance. Because we do not store your answers, most requests are fulfilled by clearing your browser data. For anything else, write to our grievance contact at onionsalad1@gmail.com; we respond within 7 days.
Children
A parent or guardian should fill in the form for an applicant under 18.
